The new Yeezy Boost sees the brand incorporate more striking colours and a futuristic element
Kanye West and Adidas appear to be taking a different design direction with their latest line of Yeezy holiday releases which have recently started to be revealed. Included in this new range of sneakers is the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 dubbed the name, “Yecheil” which means “May God Live” in Hebrew.
Unlike previous Yeezy Boost sneakers the v2 “Yecheil” kicks stem away from the typical natural and neutral colour palettes of nudes, beiges and taupes. Instead the new sneakers incorporate a black Primeknit as the base which is then contrasted by the use of white thread featured everywhere on the shoe except on the bold black side stripes.
The refreshing incorporation of striking colours such as red and yellow are also included within the black Primeknit upper giving the shoes a fiery feel. Lastly, the “Yecheil” incorporates a black boost cushioned sole with rigid line detailing as well black matching laces to complete the delicate design.
Overall, the sneaker portrays a futuristic tone through its carefully balanced design elements which work together to project a more modern direction and attitude towards sneakerwear. Although quite bright and colourful compared to previous Yeezy Boots, the Yecheil’s flexible colourways allow the sneakers to be worn and styled with both neutral colours as well as bright and bold colours. It is clear to see that versatility was definitely prioritized when creating the electric pair of kicks.
As for the latest news on the release date, the new Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Yecheil” is expected to be dropped on 15 December 2019. According to Kick on Fire, the sneakers will be made available on adidas.com as well as at select retailers. A pair of these kicks are estimated to set you back by $220, roughly R3293.84. However information regarding the release date and prices for the reflective version of the sneaker have yet still to be confirmed.
