The inaugural Boomtown Joburg music and lifestyle festival which was originally scheduled for 17 October 2015, at Zoo Lake Sports Club has been changed to a new date on 12 March 2016. The postponement comes due to the organisers being unable to secure a Durban date over this period.
David Airey from Airey Scott, explains, “We are excited to be hosting jack daniel’s boomtown joburg in Johannesburg on the 12th March 2016, over and above the Vodacom Durban July experience on the first weekend of July 2016. We have however been inundated with requests from Durban fans to include Durban in T.I’s tour. As the city where the iconic BOOMTOWN brand has been built over the past 7 years, we strongly believe we need to include the Durban fans with another T.I. show on 11th March 2016 at the Durban Botanical Gardens.”
