There was a brief but significant period in the South Africa music scene that eclectic groups such as The Muffinz and Afrocentric group The Soil reigned above the rest. their music has left a long-lasting impression on the South African youth entirely. With homegrown songs that touched the earth and the hearts of Africa children immensely. with songs like Inkomo from the soil and Umsebenzi Wendoda by The Muffinz.
You can just imagine the devastation that we felt when they just out of now stopped making music and left us dry and out and the same applies to The Soil. their indefinite slip cut deeply. leave a gap in the music industry for the type of music that the made.
Now Kekelingo of The Muffinz fame is embarking on a new journey as a solo artist and will be doing so with one of Africa’s leading music marketing agencies and label, the Vth Season.
“I feel like an athlete, that has just signed with the biggest team in the world,”
-express Kekelingo.
“It’s with great pleasure and utmost joy to work with Kekelingo to bring his upcoming single to life and we look forward to releasing an impeccable body of work which all of Africa will enjoy,”
-shares Raphael Benza of Vth Season.
Kekelingo has signed an album deal with Vth Season which is set to be released this August. The lead single of the album will be released this Friday, 24 April 2020 titled Khonza, with a special surprise feature.
