Buhle Manyathi, better known as Boohle, is an 18-year-old was born in the East Rand, in a little township of Vosloorus in Gauteng. Her voice is described as angelic by her parents. She comes from a musical family, where she even founded a gospel vocal trio with her two sisters at an age where some found dolls to be the only form of entertainment a young girl knew. Music has been truly her way of expression of her heart and world view.

In 2016 she started getting recognition for her amazing song writing skills and has worked with a lot of music producers as both a vocalist, songwriter and arranger and f it has been nothing but an ascending ride for the young and gifted vocalist. In 2017 she was noticed by one of the founders of Tshwane Gospel Choir where she honed her skill of creating big and beautiful harmonies, that she is popularly known for today.

Her music is an interesting blend of Amapiano, Afro-House and Afro-Soul that provides the full spectrum of highs & lows of the South African experience

She had her song titled Yini Na reach number one on the number one South African youth station, Yfm’s Hot 99 chart with DJ Candii in the same year. Her other songs like Slala Amalunde made airwaves on radio stations like Jozi FM, Capricon, Kasi FM among many others. After a lot of exploration and experimenting with a lot of sounds, the songstress finally put her feet firm in a fusion of sounds rooted in her strong soul and RnB music background, fused with Afro Beat, traditional South African Kwaito and House music to work on her first solo album.

In 2020 she release 2 bodies of work. In July she released Izibongo, an 8 track album featuring her long time producers, Tee-Jay, Elastic. She also worked with JazziDisciples, Nonny D and DJ Stokie to name a few. Izibongo is a perfect reflection of Boohle’s powerful voice, a voice rich in emotion and wisdom far beyond her years. In October she teamed up with Josiah De Disciple  on a fresh mini Amapiano project titled Umbuso Wabam’nyama. The 10 track project featured the likes of Le Sax, Chelete and Mogomotsi Chosen.

We look forward to seeing Boohle grow into her greatness and reach the masses all across the world.
