The way South Africa’s news cycle is so fast, you could blink and miss new and juicy news. Just in case you did blink and missed what happened in the celebville these last few days, here’s a recap to get you up to speed.
TV personality, Minnie Dlamini has announced her resignation from her SABC 1 magazine show, SoccerZone. After holding the fort for four years as a co-host with Thomas Mlambo, the starlet – who also debuted a hot new look this week – has decided to resign from the weekly soccer show so she can “focus on other ventures”.
In a statement, Minnie said:
“I have resigned from SABC Sport to focus on my other business ventures. I have loved my time with the SABC Sport family and will miss them dearly… I need to grow and explore various opportunities in entertainment and business. I’m super excited about 2017 and working very hard to make it a success”.
We look forward to seeing what else Minnie has under he sleeve for the year 2017. You can still catch her on your screens, though, when she presents Tropika Island of Treasure Seychelles, which airs next March on SABC 3. Are you going to miss Minnie on SoccerZone? Let us know!
In other news, bubbly and outspoken TV personality, Anele Mdoda has become the latest victim in the long and scathing list of celebrities to be shaded by Ntsiki Mazwai. Ntsiki has slammed so many celebrities for the most mundane of things that we even lost count of who has been hit by her shots.
The singer and poet took to Twitter and criticised Anele on how she conducts her interviews on her SABC 3 talk show, Real Talk with Anele. Here is the series of tweets from Ntsiki:
On real talk….too many times we hear more abt aneles personal life than her guests….her producers need to tell her its not about her🙈
— Daughter Of The Soil (@ntsikimazwai) November 2, 2016
Her stans and followers seemed to agree with her analysis though:
@ntsikimazwai you are right though cause she ends up chawing the few second of airtime coz most guest get excited and keep on going…
— Mancha The King (@noniamancha) November 2, 2016
@ntsikimazwai this is very true tho ..No shade
— De SICKMO Scrap (@DeSICKMO) November 2, 2016
Ntsiki continued to share her thoughts:
Its very distracting to have a talk show host who is always on some ME ME ME…..😂😂😂😂
— Daughter Of The Soil (@ntsikimazwai) November 2, 2016
Shes like a child who constantly wants attention….🙈🙈🙈
— Daughter Of The Soil (@ntsikimazwai) November 2, 2016
And her stans concurred:
@ntsikimazwai and affirmation that she right or good….she is getting worse nje out of control….awazi ungbora njani babe….
— Lerato G.. (@ratozga) November 2, 2016
Anele, as outspoken as she is, did not respond to Ntsiki’s tweets – but you can bet that black Twitter did.
No one hates seeing other women do well like Ntsiki. It’s sickening😷

The way Ntsiki hates on other people’s success 😳 pic.twitter.com/OwKlm2bHuP

What do you think? Is Ntsiki right or is this plain hating?
And lastly, remember when we told you that Nathi Mankayi of Nomvula fame has apparently been married for a year in a private ceremony that took place in the Eastern Cape? Well, according to Sowetan, the lady who is the envy of many Mzansi women is Mpho Maroane Letlabika.

The publication reports that Mpho is a 23-year-old musician from Northern Cape and is the woman married to Nathi. Although Nathi is mum on the identity of his woman, Mpho’s Facebook page shows quiet a lot of images of the musician.
It’s not yet clear whether Mpho simply sings back up for Nathi and his bestie, Vusi Nova, or whether she is in deed his Nomvula. Best believe we’ll keep you updated on this story!
