What an eventful week this has been. South Africa learnt of Mandoza’s untimely passing and then Euphonic caused a stir with his interview on Vuzu’s The Cover. Almost as if that wasn’t enough, we then heard of the weed and R2000 drama between AKA and a fan. It has definitely been a messy week. In case you missed out, here’s other celeb and entertainment news that took place.
Word is, Robert Marawa’s baby mama, Zoe Mthiyane has added to the star-studded list of actors that are soon to grace Mzansi’s longest running soap, Generations: The Legacy. The singer, who recently parted ways with her fiancé, Lion King composer, Lebo M, joins the cast and is set to appear on our screens in December.
Not much is known yet of Zoe’s character, except that she will play the role of Zitha, and will not be replacing Connie Ferguson in the role of Karabo Moroka. Another big name reported to have joined the popular soapie is Angolan actress and former Big Brother Africa housemate, Weza Solange. Weza debuts on 12 October.

What do you think of these additions to Mzansi’s favourite soapie?
In other news, DJ Black Coffee has his sights high when it comes to creating international collabos. The BET award winner recently worked with Alicia Keys on a remix track and now hopes on bagging Kanye West on his next album. Speaking to American entertainment brand, Billboard, Black Coffee says he wants to “move beyond the realms of house music and become a producer, not a house music producer”.
“On my next album, I want to have Kanye,” he says, adding that he will “not force Kanye on a house track”, which could mean the DJ looks to move his style away from house music.
Are you excited about this move from Black Coffee?
In more exciting news, another South African celeb has just gifted herself with a car. Former YoTV presenter, Karabo Ntshweng, celebrated her 25th birthday this week and bought a new set of wheels to go with it. Taking to Instagram, Karabo beamed and showed her brand new Mini Cooper Countryman, with the hashtag, #gifttoself.
Here’s a better view of the beautiful ride:
Congratulations Karabo. You only turn 25 once!
