So, rumour has it that Metro FM is shaking things up after Tbo Touch’s resignation. Your boy’s departure has caused such a stir within the Metro FM corridors that the change is affecting almost everyone at the station! Here are the exciting changes; although none have been confirmed by the SABC yet or the presenters themselves!
It’s been said, on good authority, that Lerato Kganyakgo and Mo Flava, who host the 8-10am Morning Fix show, will replace Tbo Touch as new hosts for the afternoon drive time slot! Like many, we thought Phat Joe would take the slot, seeing as he held it down well every time Touch was suspended! If this is true, then only time will reveal if this is a good move or not! What do you think?
Then, TouchDown326 news reader, Refiloe Mpakanyane, has also resigned from the SABC after 11 years of service! It’s still unclear what Refiloe will be doing or where she’ll be going next, but we do wish her all the best!
Finally, well-placed sources have confirmed to a popular South African tabloid publication that Somizi and Khanyi Mbau will be hosting the morning drive show. If it is indeed true, then this is about to get interesting because that would mean Somizi and his former bestie, Bonang Matheba, who hosts the The Front Row, will be on back-to-back shows and have to bump into each other every day! Can you spell awkward?
It’s interesting times for Metro FM and we wait with bated breath for the upcoming changes!
In other news, remember the young girl who caused a social media stir when she posted images of President Jacob Zuma kissing her on the cheek with the caption “He is not just a blesser, we are in love and I am grateful for all that he has done for me, much love. Xo xo.”? Well, the presidency has not taken kindly to the slandering posts and is said to be looking into the photos and how they landed on the net!
According to Jacob Zuma’s son, Edward Zuma, the 19-year-old “Lindokuhle Dlamini”, is a family friend, whom he referred to as “his sister” in media reports. Edward says that the Facebook account, where the photo was published from, was fake with a fake name and age! Lindokuhle is apparently 16 years old! The Facebook account has since been deleted!

And lastly, can we just discuss how chill has seriously left this COWntry of ours though? Mandisa Nakana-Taylor knows this too well! The former YoTV presenter, who recently updated her YouTube blog, Mandisa’s Virtues Pick, didn’t see the hate coming when Mzansi went in hard on her! Tweeps complained about Mandisa’s face and how the former child star now looked – almost as if the poor woman isn’t supposed to age!
