Jovislash

Jovislash press

Jovislash finally releases his official 1stsingle of this year titled Jikeleza. This is the follow up to his successful single Mamcane that did very well on radio charts and TV. This new single has a South African traditional feel with a bit of a Nigerian flavor and the sound is radio friendly.

Jovislash has a hectic Kwaito feel that is surprisingly fresh and unpretentious. This track is ready for the radio, the club and any other place where dancing is the order of the day. Check it out below.

Crowned Yung

Crowned Yung

This cat is really working hard in getting his name out there. Straight out of Durban, Olwethu Freeman Mthembu, also known as Crowned Yung, is an up and coming rapper who is proving that he is ready to blow up. His sound is refined and I kept thinking I would like to see the video for this track. In the song he is rapping about a girl he wants to tap but she is not about that and he’s just bothered.

He is definitely one rapper to look out for in the future! He is currently releasing his first mixtape Dirtbin the d.o.X. Check out his debut track Cookie Jar below and tell us what you think!

$pace Sound Logic

$pace $ound Logic

Another rapper who is coming through with the undeniable trap sound is $pace $ound Logic who hails from Pretoria. This dude has a good sound but I do believe that he needs a bit more grooming as a rapper in terms of performance and lyrics. The track, Rolihlahla, has heavy trap influences and the hook is quite catchy as all trap songs are These songs all sound the same to me. But I do believe that if you put this track on rotation, it will surely get a huge following. Listen below!
