We love new and fresh talent and that is why we stay putting them on to let them get their spot in the sun! These artists are those who have not yet cracked the mainstream but who are obviously putting in the work to get their music out there. Check out who we found this week!


Litzwe Mbotho, better known as Zwer is a vocalist, alchemist, graphic designer and entrepreneur who was born into music. Zwer is hella versatile with his style and presents a powerful and refreshing voice that is bond to shake the industry. Born in Durban,Westville, he strives to see where his talent will take him, and in the process he has created a sound full of energy, anguish and inspiration.

He primarily makes R&B and pop music with a soul twist and hopes to change the industry when he lands. He recently dropped a new joint, called Better Days

The artwork is a reflection of the emotion and message conveyed in  3 minutes :22 seconds of the craftsmanship.  The message ‘ No matter who you are, where you’re from or what stage you are in your life,  you can achieve your goal dreams, with a bit of faith, persistent and belief in yourself even if today seems gloomy, tomorrow holds the promise of #BetterDays ‘.

Better Days is his latest installment which is taken off his upcoming EP, The Alchemist.

Skhumbarr is a musician who was born in Zola, Soweto. He infuses rap with reggae, a definite feast for your musical taste buds. He uses music to tell authentic Kasi stories and is a beacon of hope to the community and upcoming artists. This is his debut single – the moving tribute to his mother – Hey Mama. The single features Wanda & Hazardous Acid.

In 2011 he won the “underground rap trophy”, and in 2013 he was part of a hip-hop group called “Firing Squad” and commenced to recording songs in back room studios, completing a demo with six songs, which proved instrumental and life changing for Skhumbarr because this was the single that got him signed to Black productions.

Skhumbarr is now a solo artist and is signed with Something Black Productions and recorded his first album titled “Strange but True” which features the single ‘Hey Mama’.

Kgdesteeger originates from Thaba Nchu in the Free State province. He attended high school at R.T Mokgopa high School. He started rapping when he was in grade 6. In 2004 he was a member of a group called MA-Dotcom, which disbanded. Besides hip hop music, Kgdesteeger joined the gospel group choir called Dinaledi tsa morena. He became the choir conductor and composed songs for the group.

In 2012 he moved to Pretoria for school and ended up settling here to establish his career. In 2016 Kgdesteeger met with Jayd ‘Jas’ Soliar’s” the producer of his released Hit single My Lover.

Kgdesteeger has released his first official single My Lover which is now well received and play listed across various radio stations in South Africa. The song is a hip hop love song that can motivates a lot of people who are in relationship, to continue loving one another and appreciating each other. “What makes the type of hip hop music he does different and unique is his “Motswako and kwaito sounding” style”. He calls his styles of rapping and singing  “KasiFlava ” . Kgdesteeger mostly raps in Sotho, Tswana and English.
