Arcade Content’s Kyle Smith directed Toya Delazy’s Forbidden Fruit music video, which has been hailed across the Twittersphere as “masterful,” “a work of art” and “daring… in the context of anti-gay politics in Africa.” Forbidden Fruit is the first single off Delazy’s second album, Ascension, which was released on Tuesday by Sony Music Africa. In 2013, Delazy won South African Music Awards (SAMAs) for Newcomer of the Year and Best Pop Album, and was also nominated in the Best International Act: Africa category at the BET Awards. Kyle won the SAMA for Best Music Video earlier this year for The Parlotones Sleepwalker music video, which featured Khuli Chana.
He’s repped by Arcade Content, a new division of Egg Films that produces content that falls outside the realm of traditional TV commercials, like brand films, web series, and music videos.
