In celebration of the brand’s 200th anniversary, popular Scotch whisky brand, Jonnie Walker collaborated with award winning fashion designer, Rich Mnisi on a limited edition capsule collection.
The latest collection from the creative duo, Johnnie Walker and Rich Mnisi was beautifully showcased in a pop-up concept store at Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton where guests came out in full support of the amazing partnership. Among the buzzing crowd of excited guests included familiar faces such as popular illustrator/street artist, Karabo Poppy, comedian and social media star, Elsa Majimbo as well as famous photographer, Trevor Stuurman. And of course with all the impeccable fashion and amazing people present at the fashion showcase, guests enjoyed a fun night filled with great music, vibes and style.
Providing further insight into the collaboration in terms of the collection itself, Rich Mnisi had the following to say:
“The Johnnie Walker Collaboration is not the first fashion collaboration with the brand. Winter of 2020 saw the release of our popular Rich Mnisi Azania collection which formed part of Johnnie Walker’s #KeepWarmSA, followed by last year’s release of “The Man Who Walked Around The World” documentary which was anchored by bespoke sleepwear designs to commemorate the local launch of the docu-film. And in honour of the legendary whisky brand’s 200th anniversary we felt this was the perfect opportunity to celebrate this milestone through an iconic collaboration.”
