Motif Records, the independent label founded by acclaimed South African MC Tumi Molekane (Tumi and The Volume fame), is proud to announce the first Motif Showcase this spring. Live features include the eclectic Zaki Ibrahim performing new material from her album ‘Every Opposite’ with Mr Sakitumi on electronic beats & gadgets.Africa’s newest rising Hip-Hop star Reason will also be showcasing his Motif Records’ debut album ‘Audio3D’, accompanied by DJ ID (Kool Out Lounge).
The night will be hosted by Tumi and the audience can expect to hear some of his new material including latest collaborations with Haezer and Yesterday’s Pupil. DJ Kenzhero will also be serving the Cape Town crowd the best way he does. Expect the unexpected. Motif premiered the live showcases on September 2nd at Soweto’s Thesis Social Jam Session where label fans, friends and family got to see the entire stable on the same stage in one night. The performances were nothing less than legendary. The Cape Town leg of the tour promises to be unforgettable.
