Tumi Morake has just announced that she is leaving Jacaranda FM, “My performance career is taking a new direction and unfortunately radio, with the time and energy it requires at this level, doesn’t fit into those plans. I had a great time and learnt many valuable lessons, yes, even when the pawpaw hit the fan. I wouldn’t change it for the world,” says Tumi in a statement released by the station’s website.
The site further states that Morake is currently co-writing a movie with her husband, Mpho Osei-Tutu; continuing with her TV presenting; an international stand-up tour in Australia; a new stand-up show with Ndumiso Lindi and a number of other exciting ventures that will be announced through the year.
Not stopping for a second, Tumi Morake’s impressive resume includes radio host, presenter, TV show host, brand ambassador, actress and Queen of Comedy – her unique ability to deliver all the laughs and right punches has become synonymous with what fans have come to expect from this clever, witty and hilarious comedian.
Tumi’s last official day on air will be 9 March.
