Unathi will be launching her first Live DVD, a major milestone in her career, in her home province of the Eastern Cape. The launch concert will take in Port Elizabeth, at the Boardwalk ICC on July 19th 2013. Born and raised in the Eastern Cape, She has always been proud to be from the province and has held her home close to her heart through all of her successes over the years. As a way to say “thank you” to the people of province that helped raise her, This event will be the official national launch of her just released live concert DVD.
The entire project has been developed and financed by Unathi herself, as she explains, “ I am very clear in understanding the importance of investing in South African music, and my own career. Too many of our artists die young or fade away, and it is very sad.”
The DVD will be available at all major music outlets across South Africa.
A follow up concert in support of the live DVD will take place in Cape Town on Sept 11th at the Grand Arena Grandwest Casino.
