#VCMastersPolo: The Fashion
Published 4 years ago by

This weekend was nothing short of fashion and glamour. From the academically renowned Oscar Awards – all the way in Los Angeles California, to our very own Veuve Cliquot Masters Polo in Cape Town. Although there was not a lot of buzz around the event as one may naturally expect from such a prestigious event, the attendees did try to make the effort to have us up in arms.

Here are some of our favorite looks ;

This year’s host, Nomzamo Mbatha, looked elegant and classy in this pink Toju Fuye with floral details. It oozed sophistication.

She then slipped into something a bit more comfortable as she prepared to now play with the other kids. She looked ravishing in this flowy dress – perfect for as summer afternoon and moving up and down like an angel with wings.

Her final look was this shimmery and playful silver gown that’s ready for the night. A goddess.

Our favorite fitness girl Boity Thulo looked elegant in this white House of Ole creation. We are absolutely in love with the pants. The crop top screams ‘sexy’ everything that Boity is. What’s a fashion event without a bit of drama – we are here for that hat.

Jessica Nkosi was serving us leg in this gorgeous wrap dress. It looked very sexy, comfortable and “heavenly on the on the skin”.

Nomalamga “The Flame” Shozi did live up to her alias with this gorgeous thigh serving blue dress. She would have looked just as elegant but even sexier with the tail left to the horses, but hey – high end was the order of the day. And the hair, we see you girl!

Well renowned Tony Award winning actress and singer, Anika Noni Rose, also came to enjoy the Cape Town sun and see how South Africans party. We loved the playful pleated dress. Simple and classy.

The gentle brothers looked pretty standard in their two and three piece suits. They were colorful , but we would have loved to see a bit more creativity. But one thing we cannot take away from the gents is how well they cleaned up. The effort men make towards dressing up and looking good is improving exponentially. Kudos to the gents.

Unfortunately the Queen of the red carpet, Bonang Matheba, did not attend this year’s event. We were looking forward to seeing what she would be strutting since she served us this iconic look from last year’s event.

If you have any favorite looks we might have left out, do share with us.

We will never share your email with anyone else.
