Veezo

Talented, captivating, versatile and here-to-stay, Veezo is an artist with a vibrantly fresh sound that’s well on its way to claiming its place in the Hip Hop game. Luvuyo Lejowa more popularly known by his stage name Veezo, was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and raised in Gaborone, Botswana. He recently moved to Johannesburg and joined the Cartel Entertainment artist movement and will be the first artist to be released from the label. Veezo started out his career at the age of 18 back home in Botswana. His first radio single titled “Young and Fresh” with a guest appearance by a high school friend and fellow solo recording artist, Young Slugz went all the way to number one on the Mascom top twenty chart on Yarona FM (one of the biggest radio stations in Botswana). The duo later recorded a remix which featured big names in the Bostwana rap industry, such as Scar and Stagga. He has recently dropped is first single “All I do” and has gotten a good response from the public in South Africa. He made it to number one on C-lives Hip Hop Power Nights, and has been on heavy rotation on other major radio stations like Yfm and Metro fm.

Not much of an outdoor person, Veezo finds comfort in and enjoys staying in studio doing what he loves which is, recording music. “My major interests are staying in studio most of the time and working. Veezo, like most young men enjoy computer games. “I am a bit of a computer geek, I love playing them, but I love my work more.” More on what inspires Veezo, he says that he draws most of inspiration from different genres of music including musicians like American Rapper Jay Z and the Pop Rock band Cold Play. “Music in general makes me want to pursue my own dreams of becoming a well respected artist in this industry.” Veezo clearly has his eye set on the prize and is on a mission to be part of an industry that has changed the lives of many in both Africa as well as the rest of the world. “I aspire to become a Hip Hop pioneer in Africa and hopefully get a chance to spar with the greats across international borders and stamp Veezo on the world.
