Vigro Deep preps us for his highly anticipated Baby Boy iii with new EP Road 2 Baby Boy III.
If memory serves well, in less than 24 hours Vigro Deep managed to rank up over 60k downloads off of his Baby Boy II album which dropped well over five months ago. Kamogelo Pehtla aka Vigro Deep is looking to outdo those numbers with the third instalment of the Baby Boy EP.
Baby Boy III is intended to drop on the sixth of December and initially was intended to drop much sooner. But was pushed back to allow those who are still writing exams to write without the distraction of keeping up with new music.
But for those of us who are writing any exams, he has released a warmup six-track EP titled Road 2 Baby Boy iii.
Vigro Deep – Road 2 Baby Boy III
Road 2 Baby Boy III features a small number of artists, the likes of Puse, Nay, Sdala, and Buckz. The extended play is a bass-heavy project and no different from his previous project. Sounding familiar with his well-recognized signature sound and arrangements.
Vigro has played it safe in terms of the sound and feel. However, his overall approach to the sound is what keeps the fans around and wanting more. But once in a while, it is permitted to step out your comfort zone and try a new sound and that how one grows. This is what’s missing from this project, it lacks the creative fluidity to make it a new project.
Listening to the Baby Boy II and Road 2 Baby Boy III, one could easily mistake the two as a singular project. We hope when the Baby Boy III drops that it would have some sort of sonic diversity and stand tall as a different project to the rest.
