After Television Personality and Radio Presenter, Somizi Mhlongo was announced as the 2018 BLK OPL Ambassador last week, his close colleagues in the media industry shared a few words.
A number of Somizi’s media colleagues were in attendance at the all exclusive reveal launch at The Monroe Boutique Hotel. Boity Thulo and Lerato Kganyago expressed how they’re proud of Somgaga.
He became the first African male to represent a product widely consumed by women. This was to change the idea that make up is just for women, said Busi Xaba – Head of Marketing and Public relations at Black Opal.
Somizi shared how being gifted such an opportunity of being an ambassador for makeup was nothing short of “Alice in Wonderland”

The highly anticipated Season 2 of JR’s Feel Good Live Sessions (FGLS) is set to be bigger than its debut season. Founder and curator of the sought-after live performance YouTube channel – rapper and record producer JR – has announced a partnership with Martell Cognac and a broadcast deal with MTV Base that will bring the live sessions to even more music lovers.
