Our attention is pulled more and more to the side of up and coming talent and we are not complaining at all. We love it in fact. Cape Town duo, Amajimbos, have recently dropped the visuals for their kwaito and hip hop fusion debut joint, Ebsuku.
Amajimbos is a KwaiHop duo (the fusion of vintage kwaito and modern hip hop) established in 2015 in the city of Cape Town South Africa. “Amajimbos” is a simple enough name and in kasi slang, it loosely means “the gents” and refers to a type of brotherhood and closeness. The duo consists of TKsbu real name Ntokozo Sibulele Mabijaand and Bluu Musiq whose real name is Nkosinamandla Mnqobi Phetha.
Ebsuku is a taken off their self-titled debut album which is slated to drop by the end of this year. The single Ebsuku was inspired by the long sleepless nights while they were working on the Amajimbos KwaiHop project, and the experiences that come with being an artist in the electric Cape Town night life.
The video for this song was simply and well shot and follows the gents around as they rap about girls and being reckless. They are young and talented after all right?
