“I am soul, I am movement, I am boom boom“, she writes on her website. These simple, yet profound words give us the essence of who Tarryn “TNT Boom Boom” Alberts is. This driven 25-year-old is a talented professional dancer, choreographer and performer – and she is our woman crush today.
The Eldorado Park (Johannesburg) raised dancer began the path to her dancing career at the tender age of four and went on to receive formal dance training in major dance forms such as contemporary, afro fusion and modern dance. She started to dance professionally at the age of 16 when she performed for musicians, Danny K and former 2002 Idols SA contestant, Bianca Le Grange.
In 2011, she then joined the renowned dance crew that became famous for its vogueing and waacking skills, Vintage. The energetic dance group soon built an impressive name for themselves within the dance and music industries.

Tarryn is a proven hardworker and certainly a force to be reckoned with. Through her dance, she has travelled the world over, featured on more than 50 South African music videos and has even shared stages with big international acts such as Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar.
It’s always refreshing to see a young woman fearlessly building her name and slaying in the profession of her choice. So passionate is Tarryn about her craft that she confesses to putting in no less than six hours of training a day. If you ever needed a reminder that hardwork, tenacity and relentless commitment bring success, then Tarryn is all the proof you need.
Not so long ago, Tarryn was selected as one of the budding and dynamic ambassadors for the new, premium tequila flavoured beer, Liberado. With her spunk and bold “can-do” attitude, it’s easy to see why she is the perfect fit. Tarryn one day hopes to conquer Los Angeles and dreams of growing the dance profession in SA, as well as helping empower other up-and-coming dancers to greater and more respectable heights.
We are inspired by this super talented woman and deservingly crown her with today’s #WCW title. Take a look at this exciting video interview we had with Tarryn a few weeks back.
Tell us if you’re loving our #WCW as much as we are?
