As you may know the popular Jozi youth radio station Y FM has recently came up with a YTKO DJ team who have finely been selected from the underground scene namely; Just Mo, Miss Cosmo, Josi Chavѐ, ZanD and DJ Shimza who play live every week day at 6 PM on the station. So this past Friday the YTKO movement hosted a launch party at Bassline in Newtown as part of their YTKO tour featuring Julian Gomez and the infinite boys, the party started off with a slow pace but things gradually got more heated as more people started pouring in the venue. DJ Shimza killed it on the decks with his hectic hot mix that seemed to set everyone’s musical soul on fire. DJ ankletap and Miss Pout were the official MCs for the night even though ankletap disappeared through half of the show, I was disappointed by the celebrity attendance though coz the VIP area was echoing with emptiness. The YTKO party wasn’t as nice as the previous Y Fm’s king of thrones bash but people still had a good time, it was fun.
