The Shumaya hitmakers, Zinhle Ngidi – who penned the lyrics – and Trademark, comprised of Sphiwe Skhosana and Fannie Mahlangu who produced the SAMA award winning song for Durban Nyts are currently not getting along. Zinhle feels betrayed and sabotaged by Trademark after they allegedly repeatedly failed to pitch at interviews and music video shoots they committed themselves to doing with the sultry vocalist. Trademark and Zinhle Ngidi launched their joint album on the 9th of June 2016 and as a result they are supposed to do interviews and shoot music videos together in order to promote the project but Ngidi and her team have called out foul play from Sphiwe and Fannie. Zinhle had to shoot a music video for the song called “valelisa” without the guys.
“The team was very disappointed when the duo Trademark didn’t pitch for video after a long conversation with their assistant manager Xoliso who organised them wardrobe that they requested for the Video” says Bhuti Sithole who is Ngidi’s manager. “This is not the first time that their phones rang unanswered when we try to reach them, they also did it when they were supposed to shoot for the Club 808 show with Zinhle, but nothing will stop Zinhle from pushing her album. It is a collaborated album, they are not a group, this is a train we wait for no lazy man” He concludes. Trademark couldn’t be reached for comment.
A scene from the video, we will give you guys the link as soon as it drops, your thoughts?
