Zkhiphani has appointed Sizwe Mbiza as it’s new Editor in Chief. The decision to appoint a new editor comes shortly after the platform’s decision to re-brand at the start of 2019.

Sizwe Mbiza just only 24 joined Zkhiphani as an intern social media manager and writer in 2016 and it’s his passion, hard work and determination that has quickly escalated him to the brand’s top seat giving him the huge responsibility of driving content direction and the holistic brand narrative and new market positioning.

We’ve been around for 10 Years and it’s important for us to introduce young talent and new blood to usher the brand into a new era. The digital space is changing fast and it’s important for us to adapt to these changes and stay relevant to our readers who take first priority. Sizwe has been with us for a while and as the board we trust that he is the right person to help drive us into our new direction

said Founding Editor in Chief, Andile Mathobela.

Andile Mathobela will be taking on other more strategic responsibilities in the business which include the building of the businesses’ events department and launching of other digital assets that are on the pipe-line.

Zkhiphani is also re-branding and part of Sizwe’s responsibility is to usher in this new look and voice across all the brands touch-points and ensure a stronger foot print and presence within a younger South African afro-millennial audience.

I’m excited about this new role and applaud the team for trusting me with this huge task and responsibility. Zkhiphani is an authoritative voice with credibility within the entertainment space and my responsibility is to further build on that brand legacy and introduce new ideas and ways for us to remain at the forefront of urban youth culture!

Sizwe Mbiza officially started as new Editor in Chief as from the start of July 2019.
